Welcome
For the six or seven of you who will ever read this, I'll spare you the obligatory "what the world really needs is another amateur blog" joke and get right to it. Communication has become bite-sized. Twitter, Facebook, et al. I'm a middle-aged white dude and nearly all of us are in one or more group texts where we argue about sports and politics 40 characters at a time. But life is full of nuance, and any true learning comes from discovering a new fact or idea and digging deeper to understand the "why" behind it. I don't presume to have any real wisdom, but like most, I like to hear myself talk and generally think I'm right. However, I really enjoy having my ideas challenged and growing through that process. So I'll give this a shot and see where it goes.
